Radko Tichavskyi is now offering a one semester virtual course in Agrohomeopathy (in English). You can learn how to define and analyze holons and how to repertorize the specific homeopathic treatment beyond just disease or pest names. You can find out more here:

Dear Mr. Tichavsky,
In past seasons our potato crops have been troubled by Potato Scab. This is caused by the bacterium Streptomyces scabies. We would like to know how to approach the problem holistically through holohomeopathy. We live in La Crosse, Wisconsin ( U.S.) The temperature ranges from 80 F in the summer to 12F in the winter. Average rainfall is 33 inches. Our Zipcode is 54601.
To achieve the previous condition of an organic cultivation of potatoes free of Streptomyces scabies requires a correct rotation of crops. As intermediate crops you can use wheat, barley or alfalfa and never use beet, carrot or red clover. It is also important not to put too much water on the soil and to keep the pH ideally slightly acidic.
The homeopathic remedy that we use to control this pathogen belonging to the group of gram-positive actinobacteria in the potato is mainly Allium sativum 6 CH. The application is done at the time of planting the potatoes. It is also very important to ensure that the seed of the potato is free of infection. The second application of Allium sativum 6 CH is carried out by irrigation, 45 days after sowing. Allium sativum var. sativum has 99 common metabolites with the potato which ensures a high biocompatibility of the applications and contains 24 antifungal metabolites. Compared with the 27 antifungal metabolites that contain the potato it may seem little, but it must be emphasized that they are different and some of them are especially active against gram-positive bacteria such as allicin, ajoene, endolysin and muramidase as examples. As complementary homeopathic remedies to this main remedy you can use Citrus sinensis 6 CH (elaborated from the mother tincture of the pericarp of the lemon peel), since it has 111 metabolites common with the potato and contains 32 metabolites useful to control Streptomyces scabies, especially headed by the Thymol. Other homeopathic remedies that can be useful are: Chelidonium, Croton, Hammamelis, Hypericum perforatum and in Mexico we use Argemone mexicana, a plant quite common in the field. All mentioned remedies are used at 6 CH potency.
Hello Mr. Tichavsky,
I have been experimenting with growing Chilli peppers where I live in Blackawton, Devon, UK . The chillies got infected with the fungus Anthracnose last year and I was wondering how to prevent that from happening next year. I would welcome any suggestions. Temperatures range from 37F to 70F in the summer. Rainfall is 900 -100 mm. Our mailing code is TQ9 7AZ.
I really appreciate your help
Rust in Capsicum sp. plants is associated with the intervention of different types of the fungus Colletotrichum sp. and it is more frequent when watering the plants is done by spraying the leaves and fruits and wetting them, than if drip irrigation is done in the soil. It is very important to completely burn the remains of diseased plants and not reincorporate them into the soil or compost since they contain spores of the fungus that overwinter to the next season. I use mainly Thymus vulgaris 6 CH, it has few common metabolites with chili (57) but its action is focused against the Colletotrichum sp. directly. As complementary remedies you can use Allium cepa 6 CH, Coriandrum sativum 6 CH (made from the seeds) and Allium sativum var. sativum 6 CH. Another important recommendation is intercalating with the chilies plants of Rosmarinus officinalis, which 74 common metabolites with the chili and 28 metabolites dedicated for the control of fungi. Rosmarinus off. Plants intercalated between the chilies perfume the soil with root exudates and do not allow the fungus Colletotrichum to thrive or survive in the soil.
Greetings Radko Tichavsky,
One of my wife’s favorite foods is asparagus and so we grow it ourselves. One problem that we encountered is Asparagus Rust, which is caused by Puccinia asparagi. Can you suggest a non- chemical way to solve this problem? Our crop is in Bayonne New Jersey ( U.S.). The climate is moderate, with cold winters and hot summers. Average rainfall is 48 inches. The zipcode is 07002.
for the control of Puccinia asparagi it is important to space the plants sufficiently to allow the entry of air; high density of planting and the presence of dew are two ideal conditions for the development of the fungus. Rust attacks intensify when the plant is deficient in certain microelements. The main remedy is Selenium 6CH, which inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, the main component of fungal cell walls. Hypericum perforatum 6 CH, Allium cepa 6 CH, Camelia sinensis 6 CH and Foeniculum vulgare 6 CH (made from seeds) are used as complementary remedies. In all homeopathic applications extra virgin olive oil has to be added as an coadjuvant (approximately 20 ml per 20 liters of application) which, like the complementary remedies, contains Quercetin, another of the metabolites that naturally controls the rust on the plants of Asparragus sp.
